I’m Darren Cherrey-Elliott, a graduate of Conestoga College’s Broadcasting & Independent Production program and a photographer, videographer, and visual creator based in Ontario. I’m originally from Mount Forest in Wellington North, and my work is shaped by a strong interest in visual storytelling, creativity, and the technical side of media production.

I work across a range of creative disciplines, including photography, videography, editing, lighting, drone work, 3D tools, and light visual effects. What draws me to this field is the ability to turn ideas, moments, and experiences into something visual that people can connect with.

Creativity has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over time, that early interest grew into a deeper passion for photo and video production, eventually leading me to pursue formal training and build a path in the creative industries.

My Background

My interest in media started young through films, online video, and personal creative projects, and that gradually developed into hands-on experience with photography and video production. During high school, I was a key leader in the creation of the 2024 Wellington Heights Yearbook, and throughout my teens I continued building skills through self-directed projects and collaborative work.

My time at Conestoga helped me strengthen both the creative and technical sides of production, from shooting and editing to lighting, storytelling, and post-production. I’m continuing to grow as a creator and looking for opportunities to contribute to projects in photography, film, and digital media.

What I Do

I offer creative services in photography, videography, editing, colour work, and light visual effects. I’m especially interested in projects that involve strong visuals, storytelling, and collaboration, whether that means portrait work, promotional content, short-form video, or other media production needs.
